The great Lao Tzu
once said ...
When we have foolish
incompetent leaders
to govern us ...
There is stinking horse
shit everywhere.
What did he mean?
What was his profound lesson?
And can we fools
heed his warning?
In ancient times the humble horse
was the choice weapon of war.
True to their nature,
Our foolish poor leaders
subjected us to more hideous
and totally avoidable
military conflicts ...
It's their foolish way.
Their sinister trademark to
remember them by.
Their badge of dishonor.
And more wars ...
meant more horses.
And more horses ...
meant more horse shit
in our towns and the
distant battle fields to
engulf and overwhelm us.
And in our modern times
horse shit can come in
many disturbing forms ...
The dangerous gases belching
from our fighter jets, our bombers,
our tanks and our hummers.
The guttered cities from
our scud missiles.
The nuclear or germ fallout
from our hideous WMD's.
And it could be the erroneous
propaganda our silly leaders
vomit out to demonize
those freedom fighters
they want us to kill.
And every war ...
past, present and future
is absolutely avoidable ...
If we so desire it.
Horse shit, horse shit,
everywhere a child's eye could see ...
