Hi Evolving One,

Brightness!
My heart's filled with hate
to ensure that love
will never rate.
So on thin ice I skate.
My hate ...
A glare so bright
I'm blinded by its light,
with peace out of sight ...
No option but to fight.
The light is so bright.
You're a true patriot,
my President tells me ...
So I must be ready to fight.
But, despite my President,
I am troubled by
this damn light.
So I sit quietly
in my dark corner,
and I ponder out loud ...
Why does my President
condemn me to hate
myself for taking another
man's life?
Can I find the love
and courage I need
to dim this light
that compels me
to fight?
And may be help to
make things right?
The answer comes back ...
It's gonna be tough ...
But I'm so sure that I can,
do my little bit,
to put world peace ...
back on track!
A glimmer of hope!
Now that's a bright light
