Hi Evolving One,

Sadness!
I wake up each morning
aware of the past.
Sadness I am ...
for I didn't insist
for a new world for us.
For I didn't persist
with my request.
For I didn't resist
when dreaming
got hard.
Instead I look for
the darkness
you once gave to me.
To relive my anger ...
I have a long list.
I clench my hand.
And what do I have
to hurt you this day?
An angry big fist.
A fist ...
for my list.
Now at the end
of my miserable life ...
I look back
with my teary eyes,
and what do I see?
Nothing but sadness!
No gladness.
No loveness.
Just bitterness,
just hardness ...
and truck loads of sadness.
As my last grain of sand
from my time piece of life
tinkles as it is funneled away
to join my towering
mountain of regrets.
Now alone I am ...
with nothing but my sadness
to comfort my nights.
The greatest of tragedies ...
Another life wasted!
