Nope ... [That's No]
I do not hope.
Coz I'm a big dope
dangling by my
flimsy old rope.
My unnecessarily
beautiful but fragile world ...
testing my gossamer hope.
Can I hang on?
Can I go on?
Can I stay strong?
Or is my vision
splendid so wrong?
But the stench of hate
and war prolong ...
The pong.
I grope ...
for the illusive answers,
like a silly big dope ...
a dope on a flimsy old rope ...
Just like George Foreman,
my inevitability awaits me.
The final blow!
Unable to grow ...
down I go!
I mope ...
Coz there's really
no hope
for this dope
on a rope.
Anger, hate, revenge
and self-destruction,
consumes me!
As the world blindly slides
down its slippery slope.
I feel so dirty today ...
coz I lost all my hope
as I lean on the rope ...
Bashed and beaten!
Like a grimy old rope,
my search to be clean.
Hey, let's both
up and elope ...
Run away from the
slimy grimy old slope.
Coz what can a solitary
soul do anyway?
May be ...
I could stand up today,
and wipe the crap off
my battered old face ...
And strive each day
to give our world hope!
