Yes there are many nasty and wicked things out there on the Net, but here's a novel approach - instead of forcing your erroneous rules and paradigms down your kids' throats and stomping out of the room like an immature spoilt brat, why not truly love and trust your precious children by sitting down and surf the web together, visit all the so called nasty sites without reservation, the hate sites, the racist sites, and so on and ask them for their views, ask them their conclusions, ask them for their feelings on certain topics.

The point is if you don't show your kids that you trust them on the Net, you are emphatically telling them that you don't trust in any other facet of their life.

You either incontrovertibly trust your children with the truths of life, or you have excuses, but you can't have both.

You can't half unconditionally love your kids ... half trusting is the most evil sinister love there is, it's called CONDITIONAL LOVE. I'll only love you if you follow my rules and believes.
