It is a well known fact that team sports require more then superstars for a team to be successful.

It takes many different skills in a team sport to be successful. You need defensive and attacking skills, as well as scoring and other critical skills.

And a team sport requires players who have those different skills to complement each other to make a powerful balanced entity able to defeat opponents game in game out.

And it is counterproductive to have a team where only the superstars are rewarded while the rest of the players have to struggle financially.

The basic salary cap system while developed with good intentions, is flawed because it forces sports teams to cheat the system to build their teams by using underhanded tactics.

The best way to make sure the competition is a fair system to safeguard the poorer clubs or disadvantaged clubs is to make sure that everyone wins.

Both players and club must benefit. And in turn the supporters of the team and sport will benefit.

The Primary Cap is the team's main salary cap which is equal for all teams in the competition. And it is this cap that must be shared equally among all players of the team. Each player must get an equal share of this salary budget.

Then all 30 players will get an equal share of the $5 million, which will be around $166,000 per player.

The Secondary Cap is the team's secondary salary cap which is used for the sole purpose of acquiring elite or superstar players. This will also be set and be equal for all teams. The elite players will also receive their share of the Primary Cap just like all the other players of the team.

The elite players will receive a share from the Secondary Cap equal to their market value as negotiated between the player/agent and the club/team.

This Third Tier is a percentage of the profits earned by the sports governing body through revenue streams like television rights and marketing.

It is distributed by the sports governing body directly to the players for their contribution to the success of the sport as a product.

Each player will receive a share of this Third Tier profit stream based on his value and contribution to the sport for the year. This will ensure that elite players are rewarded for their superior contributions for the year.

All players must be allowed to earn income from other revenue streams that are not affiliated in any way to the sports club/team the player is a member of.
