MAGIC CIRCLE I RECIPROCATION LIVING

The scourge of humanity.

Despite our lingering doubts

about its sanity and ethics,

and its massive cost

in resources and lives ...

We proceed on regardless

with our military madness

to our erroneous destiny that

rips apart our hearts and

souls and lays them naked

and bare for history's

endless scrutiny.

How many more genocides

must we endure before

enough is enough?

There are no real victors,

only the costly burdens

and incurable scars

within ...

Where the victor becomes

the vanquished ...

For it is he who must bear

the costs of rebuilding

the conquered palaces

and ruined cities.

The cloudy visions of

fear and uncertainty ...

is the path to victory.

No one really knows

the bloody, blurry,

costly ending ...

But, to begin the conflict

is our fatal flaw.

We just can't seem to

help our silly-selves ...

And so onward we march

to our inevitable misty

mournings that await

our sorry souls ...

Another war awaits us!

And so our eternal lust

for all answers military

must linger above us all ...
