Better still - instead of downsizing, ask your people how they could become more valuable for the company and for themselves, and trust them and invest in them and encourage them to start a new business unit for you in a joint venture if need be.

Because people are wising up to the fact that it is they who have all the power, not the managers and business owners. And if you are foolish enough to abuse them, they just jump ship and develop a cool business model that will ruthlessly make your business obsolete overnight.

And once the market perceives you to be a stodgy old fart, we will dump your products and services, and dump your stock (shares) without a moments hesitation.

And so will begin your fast downward decline to bankruptcy and obsolescence and a lot of pain for you, your existing employees and your shareholders.

Corporate leaders who downsize are not leaders but cowards and they are parasites on the butt of modern civilization. They are in fact the most evil of human beings because they abuse their position and place themselves ahead of the people they are entrusted to lead and protect.

They defy and violate the ethical unwritten contract that ALL companies with substance have, that they and the company have struck with their precious employees -

Follow and trust me (the CEO-manager) and the company, and diligently do your part each day to help us to create a great company and great wealth for our stakeholders, and we in return for your precious loyalty and commitment, will always support you, protect your security for you and your families, and never ever let you down, especially when times get tough as they inevitably will in the future.

We will never terminate you when times get tough.

We (the executive staff) will rather terminate ourselves before we downsize your position.

Leaders lead with courage, wisdom and bold vision. They take the right hard paths and do the right hard yards (or meters) to courageously and ethically earn their glory. All companies that violate this natural law of doing business in this new millennium will fall and become obsolete.

• Take your time to prepare cool healthy food and enjoy daily exercise. Be aware that carbohydrates are deadly for you.

Yes it is more costly in time, effort and money to prepare good food, but it is less expensive then having to pay for a heart surgery or the long term effects of poor health for you, your family and for society. Or paying the ultimate HIGH price - your funeral.

The same goes for education and every other facet of life. Have the discipline to do the little HIGH VALUE bits every day, and evolve into a powerful super competent dude over time.

It means asking the tough questions and working smarter and meticulously without cutting corners.
