WHAT IS TITHING?

The Encyclopaedia Britannica tells us the word tithe comes from ancient times from the Old English word teogothian, and it means one tenth (1/10). And it referred to the act of giving a tenth of your earnings or productivity as a gift, tax or levy.

THE 10% RULE

Some dudes gave money while others gave what they produced like crops etc. People gave their tithe to their religious establishments to help to support the clergy, to build and maintain churches and to assist those less fortunate. Without the funding from tithing many of the world's great Cathedrals would never have been built.

At various times throughout history tithing was forced upon people. Some religions today still require their followers to tithe to their faith. Others may tithe voluntarily. It would be a great investment for the evolution of your career and life to do a little research on the act of tithing.

It is a most fascinating topic that will open your eyes to a new understanding on how societies funded their evolutions. Without tithing in the past the world would be a totally different and possibly poorer world today.

And WEPI strongly believes that for our world to evolve in the new millennium to where we honestly believe it must go for us to achieve the world we all know we must create in order for humanity to endure a little longer then our current path is taking us, then the loving, wise and empowering gift of tithing must be embraced by every person on Planet Earth.

WEPI once asked a successful local businessman in the Hunter Region for some help, and his reply was that he only gave and helped recognized charities. What's in it for me? He asked. Business people aren't interested in getting those fuzzy good feelings that you are offering me, they want more, he added.

Sadly this is the way most of us choose to live our lives. Our gifts are an integral part of our tax minimization strategies.

We give to our society so that we can claim it back from our society at tax time. A CONDITIONAL LOVE GIFT.

Contrary to popular belief, our governments are not the evil empire we have to guard and fight against. They are us. When we take from them, we take from ourselves. When we claim our tax credits for our gifts to society, we are taking from ourselves. And therefore we are poorer for it.

No our fashion magazines are hooked on DUMBING-US-DOWN, not because they want to, but because we demand it. Sure we could have used a POWER QUOTE from one of the world's top success coaches, but seeing super successful people living their super opulent lifestyles surrounded by too many attachments just didn't feel genuine or right.

Many of our so called success coaches have become very wealthy by selling solutions to fund their opulent lifestyles. Are they secure or must they continue like the rest of us, to tell the world that they are superior to others because their emotional branded attachments confirms this?

What do our attachments really tell us who we really are?

Why is this so? Well Life is like an Olympic Marathon race, not a quick fix one hundred (100) meter sprint race, and therefore it requires a totally different strategy to enable us to endure the inevitable and necessary unendurables of Life and finish our Life's race a joyous, happy, contented and fulfilled winner.

In Life SIMPLICITY triumphs over URGENCY

A super fast explosive sprinter requires fast answers and fast access to instant resources to enable him to achieve his goals. But this instantaneous paradigms prevents him from running a long race. And a long and winding race with its waxing and waning is exactly what Life is.

By profound contrast, a great Marathon runner requires a great deal of patience over many years to train his body to be able to use its slow access fat stores to enable the runner to complete his long race.

He also needs great wisdom, discipline and courage to maintain a simple efficient running technique to enable him to conserve his precious energy stores and minimize the strain and damage to his muscles, body and mind.

When a sprinter tries to run a Marathon race his incorrect strategy is very obvious.

His action is fast and explosive, with his body and mind working overtime. His fast paradigms just won't allow him to run a more effective simple disciplined race. A few kilometers into the race he hit The Wall (where a runners fast instant energy stores are depleted) and stops in humiliation and agony, defeated.

Not because he wants to, but because the irrefutable forces of Life and nature won't allow him to continue. He has not paid the price to acquire the special tools to run a Marathon race. He has not earned his right of passage. He is not prepared to run a long grueling, taxing heart-breaking race.

So he is forced by Life and nature to fail. Because of his failure to embrace the simple super effective strategy of a master Marathon expert to run the long race, he has failed.

MIRROR ON THE WALL

Because of the pressures for fast results many sprinters give in to the forces of greed and pressure such an explosive paradigm requires and choose to cheat by taking illegal drugs to gain another fast advantage over his rivals. But many destroy their precious health in the process.

Not to mention their minds and conscience because they know that they are cheating Life for instant gratification. So they cover up all the mirrors in their homes because they do not have the courage to look into the eyes of a cheat. The long bodysuit in swimming is the same as taking drugs.

You don't have to train that extra bit harder and wiser to gain that extra speed and advantage, just put on an instant bodysuit. So it's technology over human excellence, the complete opposite to the philosophies of the Olympics.

The same is true for other sports like cycling, technology triumphs over human excellence. Technology is like a drug, we are addicted to its instant results whether it is in the Olympics or in Life.

The reason for the slight detour with the Marathon paradigm is not only to explain the advantages of a simple life of a Mildred Jones, but to also lay the critical foundations in your mind to prepare you to better embrace the loving art of tithing.

Because tithing requires the courageous loving power to detach from your emotional addictions and instant paradigms, and to give unconditionally, without demanding instant results or any return for that matter, from those you give your tithing love to.

There are many sources and success experts who will gladly tell you about the wonderful magical art of tithing. But the best example was the one that helped to inspire us to continue our Vision to create the WEPI Institute to give to the kids of the world.

THE INSPIRATION TO GIVE

It is from an old book we stumbled on in an old bookstore many years ago. The very special book is by Al Koran titled - The Magic Of The Mind In Action, published in 1972 by Tandem Publishing Ltd. UK. Chapter Two is dedicated to the loving art of Tithing.

The Chapter draws on Al's earlier book - Bring Out The Magic In Your Mind in which Al explained that tithing was a most critical key to gaining great wealth and success. It is included here because WEPI believes that Al's wishes are to share his wisdom with the children of the world.

Here is the paraphrased version of what Al had to teach us about the magical loving art of tithing all those years ago. The magical art that will open the limitless wealth channels of Life to deliver even greater wealth, joy and success to you;

Give a tenth of your money and wealth to the sick, the poor and the needy. If you do not do this, you will stop the flow of great wealth to you.

 

Because wealth is a universal energy that must be shared, when you stop its flow by not giving, it finds others who are genuinely unconditionally loving and flows to them, and they are the wise ones who become very wealthy.

 

Ten percent of your wealth must be put aside for those in distress. Your tithe must be put aside for the poor who come to you for help. Your tithe is the possession of the poor, if you fail to give it to them, you also will become poor and miserable.

 

Your intuitive super-conscious powers will draw you to those who need your help, so have the courage to follow it without question.

 

You cannot LOAN that money, you must give it UNCONDITIONALLY to those who you have been led to, to help.

 

Think and empathize with someone who is passing through the dark of the soul to have someone come and say - "Here, brother, forget your worry, you will not be thrown out of your home."

 

You pay his rent for the fist week, and the second and the third, if need be. Do this unconditionally. It is important that you prove to Life that you are truly a worthy and unconditionally loving person.

 

Your super-conscious mind has led you to that person or family who genuinely needs your help, and it is your duty of love to help them until they are able to get back on their feet again, and what a blessing it is.

 

How many are in this position today because somebody has failed to do their duty?

 

In being kind you give others faith in life and humanity again. That is why some people are so wealthy and able to give vast sums to help their world.

 

It is because wealth is flowing into their lives so fast they do not know what to do with it. And even more wealth keeps coming in because of their magical wealth attracting powers of their magical tithing gift.

 

I have never known anyone to tithe properly, and not receive a thousand times more than they have given in return. It may not come back all at once, but it certainly does come without fail. Remember that your tithing gift to your world must be a genuine unconditional gift of love.

 

If you give your tithe with a condition attached to it (even if your agenda is kept as a secret to yourself and you tell no other person), then the magic of tithing may desert you and go to those more worthy with their pure hearts who do not have a hidden agenda attached to their loving gift.

 

You cannot fool Life. You must tithe unconditionally. When Life rewards you for your tithing gift you will get great rewards heaped up, pressed down, and running over.

 

The first time that I tithed I received not only a bigger sum in actual cash than what I had given, but more wonderful opportunities for even more wealth came from the most unexpected sources.

 

What a supreme sense of uplift you will experience when you tithe for the very first time. You know in that glorious moment that it is divinely right and that you must follow it.

 

You feel that at long last you are taking the right step that will empower you and free your heart, mind and soul from the comparison game.
